“It's a great off road resort, good food, good trout creek, swimming pool, nice creek to relax.”
“I met an emissary to the Turner family there and he taught me to drink the tequila%%%%%%%%% green label hornitos with the green label that tequila will be good for me and he was right!”
“Mike's Sky Ranch is a place mostly for off-road rugged travel lovers. Keep in mind I am a girly girl so I prepared for this trip and loved and embraced every part of it. The $2000mxn/per person fee includes a bed to sleep in, dinner and breakfast. Rooms tend to have 3-5 beds of different sizes. They opened a few rooms and told us to pick whatever bed. I brought my own bed sheets, blanket, towels and pillowcases for my convenience and comfort. If you have the space in the car, I recommend you bring them too just because it gave me peace of mind as a clean freak!! They excell at the kitchen because the food is pretty good. For dinner we had a huge rib eye steak with rice, flour tortillas and beans. For breakfast we had eggs with chorizo, flour tortillas and beans. The clamatos at the bar are also really good. The guys at the kitchen and at the bar are so nice as well!! I saw a lot of reviews complaining about the price but I think its a very fair price, because of the food that's included!! Plus the road there is a lot of fun. For the room and ammenities have 0 expectations and enjoy your trip. You are in the middle of nowhere so complaining won't help you. They have wifi, but no electricity after 10pm (they do have a candle and matches in the rooms you can use). Some rooms don't have hot water and the ones that do have low pressure. If the place is empty, ask if you can switch to a room with hot water. Bring flip flops as well for when you shower. Overall I give it 5 stars because everyone was great and our group of 16 friends had a lot of fun here. At night, go out to look up at the stars. It's so beautiful”
“Mike's is for hard core off road guys. This ain't the Four Seasons where you take your Trophy Wife. If you take her, you'll end up gagging her and throwing her in the back of the truck. By the time you get her back across the border, she'll be screaming for her divorce lawyer. Ask me how I know. I read where some guy was mad because they couldn't tell him the road conditions. Are you kidding? That's the whole point. The back way out of Mike's has been, and always will be the highway to hell. There's no electricity, no cell service. They have a bar that is off road heaven. No Snivelers allowed. I love this place.”
“A legend amongst off-road drivers and bikers! Getting here is not easy but worth the effort. It's an oasis in the middle of nowhere. Plan on an extra day or two to relax by the pool or to explore the endless trails in the area. The breakfast and dinner are included in the price. Bring an appetite because the portions are large. The crew is VERY thoughtful and helpful. Tip generously. Note: there is no gas here. Make sure you have enough to get back to the highway and another 20 miles to the nearest gas station. Also, bring biscuits for the dogs. The are very friendly and will love you for it.”
